Research scholarships for trainees
During 2024–2025, the College, through its Knowledge & Research Hub, offered research scholarships to support MSc and MD trainees in Community Medicine. Applications were invited for competitive assessment, with priority given to originality, feasibility and potential public health impact. Eleven MD trainees and six MSc trainees were offered scholarships.
The scholarships were paid in two instalments. The initial payment required ethics approval and confirmation, through the supervisor, that data collection had begun. The final payment required completion of the research, submission of a one-page abstract and a statement of expenditure. Recipients were required to hold CCPSL membership and to acknowledge the College’s support in resulting publications and presentations.
